Favorite Directors Poll (DEADLINE: August 30, 2009)

Postby Ally » Sun Jun 28, 2009 11:02 pm

It's been over a year since we've compiled our top directors here at TLC. Let's do it again!

Deadline: August 30, 2009

How to Participate:
Name your top ten directors (they will get three points each)
Name your top directors, 11-20 (they will get two points each).
Then name honorable mentions (21-30). They will get one point each.
You may list as many directors as you wish. Please see rules below

Rules: 1) first and last names please. If you write "Anderson", well is it Wes or P.T. or even Roy's name misspelled?
2) you don't have to number your picks, but they must be in different tiers, in sets of tens.
3) there is no minimum. you can list only one if you like. There is no maximum, however, everything over 30 will be awarded miniscule points: 31-40 = .5, 41-50 = .25, 51-? = .05 (so eat your heart out)

See list for ideas of what directors are out there (just in case you forgot one of your favorites).

next up is actors, wigwam. That is up next. I never finished the consensus thing on the actors. Oh well. I'm hoping to make a new list before computing the scores for the actors or whatever.

Thank you for your lists guys!
You know who you are
(wigwam
Cypheron
dontdigonswine)

I'm considering having the first five lists weighted so they'll count more (1.10% as much)

just kidding!!! But the next two people are welcome to post *tease*

don't forget that you can edit your list anytime between now and the deadline and you don't have to notify anyone as the lists won't be counted till the very end. Thanks, y'all. *grouphug*

YES YES YES more lists!

This is sooo going to steal YC-wrapup thunder however

They will be interesting to compare. Let me wager a bet right now that the director who won YC won't quite make the top 20 here. :plot:
