Does anyone do this? I don't need, like, a 50th place to rate movies but it's incredibly addictive.

i know. I have too many sites to rate movies. IMDB is pretty much the main one.

that site looks interesting. I rated a few movies. I can't rate Silver Surfer "0" on enough sites. everyone needs to know how much I hate that movie.

Lauren, it's terrible... what did you do to me! I'm in the middle of finishing my master thesis and I really need to work and now you come up with something like this?! I can't stop rating...

"kiddo" had been taken, so "hehejaja" has added you (two) to his kumpels!

I've added votes and bits of my mini-reviews to films I've seen in 2008...

I'm in. My only problem is that they definitely need to make it much easier to rate films. I hate having to click "Seen it" every time and then "Submit".

even worse. When I first join I kept clicking seen it, and didn't know I had to rate the film. i thought it would just note that I'd seen it. But yeah, it gets tiresome clicking but I've been doing that all day yesterday and today.

The whole Tiers thing is also really annoying. Couldn't they just have made it similar to flixter or something that is easier to use and where you don't get angry at it for thinking that a film you rated 90-something is just decent?

Btw, is "Kumpel" a word you use in the US? It's german and we use it quite a lot in Switzerland (as Kumpu).

HAHAHAHAHA, they list Fireworks as a comedy and this is still their description for it:

Nishi is a cop whose wife is slowly dying of Leukemia. One of his partners gets shot on the job and is confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life and becomes suicidal

Hilarious!

EDIT -

This is annoying: I have to rate films that I have not seen but know I will not like in order for my ratings to become more "balanced".

haha. i don't know. I just ignore when they say "decent" and "awesome" based on your ratings. that is definitely not my system either.

Nope, I had never heard the word before yesterday. I like it though, I might start using it in daily life :)

Who are you there? Apparently it doesn't let you know if someone has Kumpeled you.

Edit: nevermind, you must be david with a period. :)

On your profile, you can change the colors and what it says about your ratings -- I didn't like their language. Mine conforms to my system now

this actually looks like quite a good site. It's what filmcrave should have been.

i knew you couldl change colors, but i didn't know you could change the ratings system. I'm going to look up my old ratings system and replace the dialog with what it should be.

sadly I think you are correct. I saay sadly bc I wanted to like filmcrave.

I like the TCI system, comparing how much your ratings have in common with your kumpels :)

1. Theodora 2.383
2. hehejaja 2.4444
3. allisoncm 3.0349
4. PimpPanda 3.5294
5. David 4.0909

Sorry, David, your taste sucks

I like this site.
blog - music - movies
Peace of mind. A mellow life. Crunk music. Investing in spy equipment and communist memorabilia. Having dance contests with myself. Placing last in the local triathlon. All of these things, plus a firm belief in the Lord.
